With that in mind, Avenue Group Real Estate was born. More than ten years later, solid tenant vetting processes, prompt and affordable maintenance, in-house collections and best-in-class owner communication and profitability, Avenue Group Real Estate has become a shining star in Metro Detroit’s property management marketplace.

Meet the Team

David Z. Moses » Owner
Founded AG Management Co. in 2003 which is the cornerstone of what is now known as Avenue Group Real Estate. David has over 20 years in the real estate business, including taking jobs in commercial real estate, residential development and construction during the Great Recession, while keeping the company open. He began investing in buy-and-hold single and small multifamily residential dwellings in 2010. As an investor, David holds over 200 units through various holding companies. David was instrumental in building Avenue Group Real Estate to approximately 550 units and has been named a top management company in metro Detroit by expertise.com. In 2019, he added KC Property Services, LLC to the family of companies which already included modular construction (Victor Moses Homes, LLC), maintenance and renovation (Hashtag Maintenance, LLC) and residential brokerage (M1 Brokerage, LLC). With KC Property Services, brought a team of experts and nearly 3,000 doors of condo, HOA, and co-operative units under management. Today, Avenue Group Real Estate employs over 40 team members and calls downtown Berkley home. As his real estate adventure continues, David is executing on his vision to grow hard-money lending (Moneyboots Capital, LLC) and direct-to-seller acquisitions (QEstate, Inc) platforms in order to provide a fully vertically integrated residential real estate investment firm.

Jay Yorke » Integrator
Jay Yorke is the Integrator and real estate operations leader with 10+ years of experience helping property management teams run smoother, faster, and more profitably. As Director of Operations for Avenue Group Real Estate and KC Property Services, Jay turns day-to-day complexity into repeatable systems—aligning people, process, and technology to deliver a better experience for owners, residents, and staff.
Jay began his career in property management, where he built a reputation for detail, follow-through, and steady execution. Today, he focuses on optimizing workflows, improving accountability, and scaling service delivery across portfolios—often through smart automation and process design that reduce friction and create consistency.
Outside of operations, Jay shares practical insights and industry trends through his weekly property management podcast. He’s known for a calm, no-fluff approach: diagnose the issue, build the system, and keep the team moving forward.

Katey Wagner » Director of property maintenance
Katey is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of expertise in property management. Her extensive background encompasses a diverse range of skills, making her a valuable asset in the real estate industry. Specializing in renovating homes to prepare them for sale, as well as managing both short-term and long-term rentals, Katey brings a wealth of experience to the table.
With over 20 years in the hospitality sector, Katey has honed her skills in providing exceptional service to clients. Her proficiency in managing projects and renovations is a testament to her commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Beyond her operational prowess, Katey is driven by a passion for marketing. Ashley poremba » Director of Financial Operations & Insights
Ashley Poremba is the Director of Financial Operations & Insights at Avenue Group Real Estate, bringing a strong background in leadership, operations, and cross-functional integration. Known for connecting the dots between strategy and execution, Ashley builds systems that improve financial clarity, strengthen accountability, and support smarter decision-making across the organization.
In her role, Ashley leads the financial operations engine—refining workflows, improving reporting, and turning numbers into actionable insights for the team. She partners closely with department leaders to ensure priorities are aligned, processes are efficient, and performance is measurable.

Rachel McGovern » Director of Operations
Rachel McGovern is the Director of Operations at Avenue Group Real Estate, bringing over five years of hands-on experience in property management and team leadership. After earning her reputation as a dependable, high-performing Property Manager, Rachel was promoted into operations leadership for her consistency, strong judgment, and ability to keep people and priorities aligned.
In her director role, Rachel focuses on supporting the team, strengthening day-to-day processes, and ensuring owners and residents receive responsive, high-quality service. She’s known for her collaborative style, steady work ethic, and positive approach—helping build a culture where problems get solved and standards stay high.
Outside of work, Rachel is a proud dog mom and enjoys bowling, gardening, and spending time at the lake.
